Can Rabbits Eat Apple Seeds?

Apple seeds are found within apples and are grown to produce more apple trees. They are usually avoided by humans and chucked out with the apple core.

Inside apple seeds, an oil can also be found which is often used in the cosmetic and medical industries to help manufacture their products.

So can rabbits eat apple seeds at all?

Unfortunately, they can’t at all. They will make them sick, as they contain a sugar/cyanide compound which is called ‘amygdalin, which turns into hydrogen cyanide when it is metabolised in their body.

So definitely, a food for rabbits to avoid.
