Apples are a huge favourite in our home, my daughter is consumes them daily and our fruit bowl is always in need of refreshment with them. So having them around often, it would be good to know whether our rabbit could have them or not.

Yes they can but not as often as you would have thought. As you can see, apples have quite a high sugar content which is really not good for rabbits to eat.
They can eat them once a week at the most in small amounts, but any more than that and their teeth will rot.

A little bit of home-made apple sauce won’t hurt them if you know what is in it, providing there isn’t a lot of sugar. But don’t give them store-purchased apple sauce as it’s full of sugar and preservatives and all other things that aren’t good for them.
