Dandelions are otherwise known as taraxacum and are a genus of flowering plant which are found in eurasia and North and South America. The name dandelion comes from the French dent-de-lion, which means lions tooth. They have very small flowers which are collected together into a composite flowerhead which is called a floret.
So can rabbits eat dandelions at all?
Yes they can eat dandelions. They are very safe for rabbits to eat as long as they don’t have pesticides on them. They can eat the stalks, flowers, roots and stems.
they’ll eat the lot and its all just as tastey and good for them. However, they will love them so much that they will eat them forever, but be careful that they dont have too much as too much will cause them problems.
