Can Rabbits eat Runner Beans?

Runner beans come from the legume or fabaceae family and are also known as teh scarlet runner bean or multiflora bean. They are grown both as a food plant and an ornamental plant and have been growing in South America for thousands of years.

However, they are now grown around the world are known for being very easy to grow. They are strong in flavour compared to green beans and they have a more coarse texture. They are also much longer and inside the pods are purple beans.

So can rabbits eat runner beans at all?

Unfortunately, runner beans are toxic for bunnies and so they cant eat them at all. It isnt worth trying them as they will make them very ill if they do eat them.
