We know that rabbits need hay to eat all of the time as they require it to grind their teeth on so that they don’t grow to much and cause them pain. It is a staple food of the rabbit diet.
But what about straw can rabbits eat straw as well as hay or instead of it?
Straw is okay for rabbits but not nearly as good as hay for rabbits.
There is nothing wrong with them chewing it as long as you know where you got it from, however it shouldn’t replace hay as their staple food.
It should also not be used as a bedding as it is too hard and spiky for them and they will find it uncomfortable.
