Companion Pet Adoption: Based in New Orleans LA. We are a small non-profit rescue group in New Orleans for pets based around foster homes. We have no central shelter but will always be happy to show our pets. Please get in touch with the person specified for each pet.
Louisiana SPCA: 1700 Mardi Gras Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70114. As a nonprofit organization dedicated to the elimination of animal suffering, we have been committed to serving the needs of the people and animals in New Orleans and across the region for more than 125 years.
Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter West Bank: They are the Animal Shelter Department for Jefferson Parish. We operate two open-admission animal shelters at #1 Humane Way in East Jefferson near Elmwood (504) 736-6111 and at 1869 Ames Blvd. in Marrero (504) 349-5111.
For the Love of Rats Rescue: Walker, Louisiana 70785. Their mission is to help abused and neglected pets find loving forever homes and to get them healthy and socialized.
Magic Happens Rabbit Rescue: 1653 Millerville Rd – Adoption Days @ Petsmart, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70816. MHRR is a group of volunteers and foster homes in and around the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. They take in rabbits from other shelters or animal control agencies, strays, dumps at pet stores or vet clinics, or individuals/families who can no longer care for their pets.
Rescue Me Animal Welfare Society: P.O. Box 122, Walker, LA 70785. They do not have a shelter. All their pets are in foster homes so a meeting must be set up with the foster home to visit a pet. The meeting is only set up after they have an application and interview on file.
Acadiana Humane Society: P.O. Drawer C, Sunset, Louisiana 70584. Acadiana Humane Society is a non-profit no-kill animal rescue. They rescue cats, dogs, rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, and other small animals. Once vetted they find them homes.
SOS Rescue: P. O. Box 40701, Baton Rouge, LA 70835. Helping animals in the Baton Rouge area since 2003, SOS Rescue is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of unwanted and abandoned animals.
