Here is a list of the rabbit rescues and shelters in Maryland that we know of.

House Rabbit Society MD/DC/NoVA: P.O. Box 50311, Baltimore, MD 21211. The House Rabbit Society is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization with two primary goals: Rescuing abandoned rabbits and finding them permanent homes. Assisting humane societies through public education. 

MAS Rescue: P.O. Box 5143, Baltimore, MD 21224.  We operate a small rescue organization that is determined to help unwanted shelter animals whose time has run out and their destiny is deemed perilous. Maryland Animal Sanctuary & Rescue , Inc. is supported by a select few volunteers who have the same passionate desire to save as many shelter animals as possible.

Baltimore Humane Society: 1601 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136. Over the years, BHS has provided safe and loving homes for literally hundreds of thousands of wonderful animals. We also operate a low-cost Spay/Neuter & Pet Wellness Center, which assists in helping to control the epidemic of pet overpopulation and serve low-income pet owners with quality pet care and vaccinations.

Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Ctr. 7315 Muncaster Mill Rd, Derwood, MD 20855The Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center (MCASAC), proudly operated by the Montgomery County Department of Police, Animal Services Division, provides high-standard sheltering and care to the homeless, abused, and neglected animals in Montgomery County and ensures the safety and welfare of the county’s citizens.

SPCA of Anne Arundel County: 1815 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403 US
Annapolis MD. The SPCA of Anne Arundel County is the largest and oldest animal welfare organization in Anne Arundel County. They provide shelter and humane care for homeless animals in need and work as advocates for animal welfare in our community

Prince Georges County Animal Management Division: 3750 Brown Station Road
Upper Marlboro, MD 20772. The Prince Georges County Animal Management Division is the county shelter. They accept stray animals and animals from citizens who can no longer adequately care for their pets.

Eastern Shore Rabbit Rescue and Education Center: PO Box 697, Rock Hall, MD 21661The Eastern Shore Rabbit Rescue and Education Center (ESRREC), is based in Rock Hall, Maryland. ESRREC ensures the health, safety and emotional well-being of abandoned pet rabbits on Maryland’s Eastern Shore through shelter and care, with guidance to the families who adopt them as companion animals.

Humane Society of Harford County: 2208 Connolly Road, Fallston, MD 21047. The Humane Society of Harford County, Inc., is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to the welfare and well-being of the approximately 4,500 animals that come to them each year.

Luna’s House Animal Care and Education Center: 2801 Pulaski Hwy, Edgewood, MD 21040, Edgewood MD. Luna’s House, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of animals and their people. Luna’s House thrives on working with individuals and with other organizations in the local and regional community to promote widespread humane education and respect for animals.

Humane Society of Carroll County: 2517 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD21158. The Humane Society of Carroll County, Inc. attempts to alleviate the pain and suffering of animals. It also attempts to educate the public about their needs, shelter the lost and unwanted, reunite and adopt as many as possible and enforce the laws pertaining to their regulation and humane keeping.
