Rabbit Rescues and Shelters in New Jersey

Pet Rescue of Mercer: PetsMart,170 Marketplace Blvd Hamilton, NJ 08690. Pet Rescue of Mercer is an all volunteer, not-for-profit animal 501 (c)(3) rescue group based in Mercer County, NJ. PRM rescues neglected, abused, and abandoned animals from local shelters by finding quality homes for them.

Animal Alliance: Lambertville, NJ. Animal Alliance is a registered, 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers. Animal Alliance rescues cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies from overcrowded, overburdened animal shelters and animal control holding facilities and place them into the safety of our foster care network.

Kind Heart Rescue: 3 Hyacinth Court – Cream Ridge, NJ 08514. Kind Heart Rescue is a Nonprofit 501(c)3 Organization, that has been providing quality rescue for over 30 years. We provide sanctuary for homeless dogs and rabbits.

Burlington County Animal Alliance: Willingboro, NJ 08046 US. Burlington County Animal Alliance is a private, independent, 501(3)(c) nonprofit animal advocacy group, that was founded in 1999.

For Bunny Sake Rabbit Rescue:  PO Box 462, Maple Shade, New Jersey 08052. For Bunny Sake Rabbit Rescue is a all volunteer organization based in South Jersey. For a variety of reasons domestic rabbits end up at the shelter. When the shelter is unable to place the rabbit in a home they are destroyed. For Bunny Sake Rabbit Rescue will rescue the pet from the shelter, owner surrender, and place him/her in a volunteers foster home.


Franklin Township Animal Shelter: 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873. The Franklin Township Animal Shelter was established more than 30 years ago to handle the animal control and sheltering needs of the municipality.

St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center – North Branch: PO Box 5281, 3201 Rt. 22 East, Branchburg, NJ 08876. Founded in 1939, the Center operates animal shelters in Madison and North Branch, New Jersey with dogs and puppies, cat and kittens, and a variety of small furry pets available for adoption 7 days a week.

Camden Companions Animal Rescue: 2230 Marlton Pike W Suite 3
Cherry Hill, NJ 08002. The goal of Camden Companions Animal Rescue (CCAR) is to reduce the number of homeless companion animals in and near Camden County, New Jersey. They work toward this mission by matching homeless pets with loving and responsible families.

Almost Home Animal Shelter: 9140C Pennsauken Highway
Pennsauken, NJ 08109. They are an animal welfare organization established to support animal care and control for local municipalities, as well as promoting the human/companion animal bond.

Animal Welfare Association: 509 Centennial Boulevard, Voorhees, NJ 08043. The Animal Welfare Association is an organization dedicated to eliminating animal suffering, promoting the importance of the human-animal bond and improving recognition of the role of animals in the well-being of people.
Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue Inc: PO Box 5057, Clinton, NJ 08809. It was founded in the spring of 2003 by a dedicated group of volunteers and seeks to rescue abandoned, stray or abused rabbits, and find permanent indoor homes for them with caring owners.

Bergen County Animal Shelter: 100 United Lane, Teterboro, New Jersey 07608. They are a county operated shelter providing animal control to contracting communities in Bergen County and Kearny in Hudson County. We accept owned animals for a fee from our contracted communities.

Friends of the Clifton Animal Shelter: 900 Clifton Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013. They specialize in finding forever adoptive homes for homeless cats, dogs, kittens and puppies plus bunnies.

Willy’s Wabbits: Hillside, NJ 07205. Willy’s Wabbits is a small all volunteer rabbit rescue that helps to rescue unwanted, abused, abandoned and surrendered bunnies and find them their perfect forever home. They are located in the Central Jersey area but will help any bun in need. We only adopt to indoor homes.
